What is the difference in online resumes and hard copy?

Answer by  kimber18 (514)

There really should be no difference in how it is put together, just that you can email your online resume rather than hand delivery or mailing. From what I understand, more employers are going towards eApplications and eResumes. But basically, other than the delivery method, your resumes should have the same information.

Fundamentally there are no real differences - you should have the same information in both. However, when posting resumes online, some people might not disclose some personal information - and might try and write a more generic resume, rather than tailoring it to a specific job application.

Online resume is just a soft copy were you can send it to some one my mail. Resumes which is printed is called a hard copy

Hard copy resumes are printed on paper. Online resumes are those on websites or in digital form. Your hard copy resume can be a printed version of any online resume or it could be uniquely worded; that is your choice. Anyone printing off an online resume by definition has a hard copy.
