They are fairly comparable, but if you want a really big TV that lasts for not a lot of cash, go for DLP. If you want to hang the TV on the wall, look at from wide angles in a brightly lit room, go for an LCD.

The better of the two is easily the DLP. With DLP you never have to worry about issues sch as burn in.
