What is the current cost of a postal stamp?

It is 44 cents right now for first class. It has gone up often in the past few years. Prices in the first 100 years of stamps were about 3 cents, but have risen consistently since the 1970s.

Currently the rate is 44 cents. Postal rates seem to be going up rather regularly. You can, however, purchase "FOREVER" first class stamps that still cost 44 cents but can be used indefinitely regardless of any increase in postal rates. Stock up now.
