The temperature range for medium-rare depends on the type of meat you are cooking. For Beef, the range is 130-135 degrees; Lamb has a range of 140-150 degrees. Make sure you take the temperature in the thickest part of the meat.

I usually grill my medium rare steaks on a high temperature. It allows it to cook the outside really fast without cooking the insides very fast, leaving a perfectly cooked outside with plenty of pink in the middle. This varies HIGHLY with meats of different thickness though, it's hard to get a really thick steak done right the first time.
