What is the ceremony like when they award the Stanley Cup?

Do they give it to the head coach?

During the ceremony, the Stanley Cup is given the white glove treatment because it is a historic trophy. The NHL commissioner awards the trophy to the captain or most valuable player of the winning team. Every player and coach then holds the trophy high for all to see.

From the Stanley Cup's that i have watched which have been over 5. The cup is brought onto the ice, the winning team comes out with the head coach, and they all skate around with it. The Captain gets it first. It is passed yearly from team to team.
