What is the cause of an abnormal menstrual cycle?

My period is never the same. Sometimes the length of my cycle is 32 days, sometimes as little as 23. What could cause this?

There are many different causes of abnormal menstrual cycle's, including hormone changes. stress and even illness. If your menstrual cycle continues to be out of the ordinary it may be necessary to see a doctor and have some basic blood test performed to check your hormone levels. Always consult with a doctor if you are unsure.

If you're still under twenty, it's just a natural thing for your period to not be "regular" just yet. You're still growing so your cycle can vary. However, stress may also cause a delay in periods.
