Wine and pasta are very diverse, so this could be good and bad. If you're talking pasta with white sauce, I would go with a nice crisp chardonnay. Kendall Jackson is the best. If you're going pasta with a red sauce, I would recommend a Yellow Tail Shiraz. Bon Appetit!

If the sauce you are serving with the pasta is white or cream (like Al Fredo) it should be served with a Bianco or similar white wine. A marinara would be complemented by a Pinot Grigio. As always your personal preference is the best instrument of measure unless you are preparing a meal for a food critic, enjoy!

It will depend largely on the sauce you will use for the pasta. A simple tomato sauce calls for a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. If the sause is more herbal or includes mushrooms try a Chianti Classico. A meat sauce will require a Primitivo based wine or a Nebbiolo D'Alba red. White sauces, like an alfredo call for a dry Pinot Grigio.

You want a strong red wine. A merlot or chianti. This assumes you are using a tomato based sauce. However, if you are using a butter or cream sauce you should consider a hearty white wine.

This is the type of pasta sauce. Most Red wine will do the trick. Merlot is a nice one. Pasta like Spaghetti, Risotto, and Macaroni.

For red pasta (marinara base) try a red wine such as Chianti, Barolo or even a Cabernet or Merlot. For white pasta (olive oil or butter base) then a white such as Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay or a Soave. My favorites are the Barolo and the Pino Grigio.

the best wine for pasta is the red wine. I ate one time pasta and i drank red wine. It was delicious!
