Gather the dishes, and scrape off the excess food. Fill your sink with HOT SOAPY water. Wash glassware first, then silverware, china and pots and pans last. Then dry.

Rinse, stack dishes in one side of sink. Use hot water and dishwashing soap in other sink. Wash, rinse well with hot water and allow to air-dry.

Prepare dishes for washing first. Remove all food particles by rinsing them thoroughly. After that is completed, stack dishes by type: bowls, plates, cups, silverware. Next, clean both the washing and rinsing sides of the sink (if using a double sink). Run hot water and squirt dishwashing liquid into stream of water. Once filled, grab dishcloth. You're ready to wash.

Run a sink full of hot soapy water, another sink full of hot clean water. Start with the least dirty dishes first, e. g. glasses, wash in soapy water then rinse, and stack to dry. Wash pots and pans last. Keep changing the water so it doesn't get too dirty.
