Initially you should use a combination of Roundup Weed Killer and lawn fertilizer as healthy grass will generally overtake weeds. If you still have a large amount of weeds 2 weeks later mow the grass very short and apply the weed killer again.

Well the best way to kill the weeds is through cutting them with a side shaft lawn mower. It will take some time or you can purchase some chemical weed killer. It is available at Home Depot. It will do the trick in about a week or so and they will be gone.

Use Bayer Advanced Lawn Weed & Crabgrass killer. Buy it concentrated to attach to a hose for the whole yard or a hand held spray bottle to zap them individually. Doesn't hurt the grass. Comes out orange so you can see where it sprayed then the color disappears.Great stuff!

The best way I found is to call an expert in weed control. When I've exhausted all my do it yourself avenues. Which is usually less than an hour. snyders weed control was awesome.
