What is the best type of tile to use in my kitchen?

Ceramic tile is most commonly used for kitchens. It is very affordable and comes in many different types. Some even look like marble or stone. You will need to be sure and have the grout sealed after completion to keep it from getting stained. Also, a darker color grout is usually your best choice.

You are not very clear. Is this for the floor or the backsplash? The floor I would use ceramic tile and the backsplash I would glass tiles in the colors that match your kitchen.

If you don't have a lot of traffic through your kitchen you can choose something like Travertine tiles. If the door to your home is in the kitchen and there is a lot of traffic you're going to want to choose a tile that's easy to clean.
