Start by removing the stinger, if it is there, by gently scraping the skin with a credit card in the direction of the sting. Take an antihistamine to prevent allergic reaction and reduce pain, then apply ice to the area to reduce swelling and pain.

You must first remove the stinger using fine tweezers, or simply pinch with your fingernails. Ice can help relieve pain and swelling. A baking soda paste draws out poison.

First get the stinger out if it is still there. Then clean and apply ice. Then apply Neosporin a gel medication available at Walgreen's, on top of wound.

I prefer to put ice on it, if ice is available. you can also try hemorrhoid cream or diaper rash ointment
