My choice for best popcorn maker is the Presto 04820 PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper. It uses hot air instead of oil if you prefer a healthier popcorn snack. However, if you want butter or oil there is an option for this as well. It is easy to clean and has a handy "chute" to direct popcorn into a bowl.

I don't know about the best but I have a Nostalgia Electrics KPM-508 Old Fashioned Kettle Popcorn Maker and have been very happy with it. It makes great popcorn and I have very little burning from it. I bought it off of Amazon. You might want to check there for it.

I have a Waring Pro Popcorn Popper and I think it's the best one out there right now. It is almost like a movie theater popper except it's much smaller.

The best popcorn maker is Paramount Entertainment Movie-Theater Style 6oz popper. I am using it for more than six months and believe me its working like a charm.

I have owned both an air popper and an oil style popper, I prefer the air popper. The oil popper left the popcorn mushy and oily tasting which i really did not enjoy.
