As for the best engineering school, it depends on what type of Engineering. MIT is probably your best bet, followed by Stanford, UC Berkley, Cal Tech, and then Georgia Tech. For more detailed lists check the USNews website for their rankings.

I would say that Virginia Tech has the best engineering school in the country. The faculty is internationally diverse and has a great emphasis on research. There are many different fields of engineering offered. Besides that, it has a beautiful campus and unique study body!

It highly depends on the field of engineering you want to pursue. Typically, "Institutes of Technology" such as Georgia Tech, MIT, and Cal Tech are the best, but research which ones are best for your particular field. Keep in mind that for an engineering career, your graduate school matters much more than your undergraduate!
