Average molecular velocity is the mean speed at which molecules in a sample are traveling. In a gas, molecules are traveling in random directions and the concept of average molecular velocity can be thought of as the thermal energy contained in the sample. This is related to the concept of temperature.
actually its the average speed the molecules are going, hence the word average... and it isnt only for Hydrogen, Temperature is determined by how fast the molecules are moving so its pretty much =. add a comment
