Flat fish lures have to be lipped to allow them to get down to the depth of the fish. They also tend to be flashy to attract the fishes attention.

The flatfish fishing lure is different because instead of sinking as the average lure does it stays surface side until you reel it in then it starts to go deeper giving it a more authetic look and making it perfect for lake fishing
