Canine lymphoma has no cause and no cure. There's 5 stages of this adult dog cancer; 1-3 can be treated and 4-5 have a 2 month life expectancy after diagnoses.

Good news is, this is usually VERY treatable. 50% of dogs can be put into permanent remission. I don't have the means here to give you all the great information I found, but can, along with other GREAT informational sites. Be comforted that this doesn't mean a death sentence for your good friend. Do your research, and good luck.

If your dog was diagnosed, your veterinarian is the best possible source of information on the disease, treatments and prognosis. There are also a lot of websites that discuss the disease. But for info specific to your dog's situation, speak to your veterinarian.

The average remaining lifespan of a dog that develops lymphoma is under a year without treatment. However, lymphoma often responds very well to chemotherapy, so that may be an option for you. Surgery is also a possibility. Lymphoma is very serious, but it is more survivable than many canine cancers.

Canine lymphoma is a type of blood cancer. It is usually wide spread thoughout the body and is most easily diagnosed if the lymph nodes in the neck or armpits are enlarged. There are many chemotherapeutic options available and treated dogs can do quite well for awhile.
