Certain kinds of mold can make you very sick if you breathe the spores. Depending on the type of mold, you could die from exposure. Mold usually grows in dark moist areas.

Not all mold is dangerous. Some may cause allergic symptoms. However, the black toxic mold occuring in constantly damp conditions can cause mental retardation, confusion, severe allergic reactions, and possibly even death. This mold and the places where it grows must be eliminated for a home to be livable.

molds at high levels cause problems such as allergic reactions,respiratory infections. some molds produce harmful mycotoxins that cause toxic reactions like food poisoning.

If someone has an immune suppression mold may increase the risk of infection. The is mold everywhere. It is best to try and keep molds under control.
