What is reasonable punishment for a 12 year old caught cheating on homework?

A cheating boy deserves to have his tv or cell phone privleges taken away as well as receiving a stern lecture from his parents. Or he should be made to appologize to his teacher.

Losing credit for the assignment would be acceptable and customary in many places. Doing another equal but different assignment would also be acceptable.

If the child has a cell phone, I would take it for a week. Another punishment would be to ground them from going anywhere over the weekend. I would also give them another homework assignment to complete this could include writing an essay to describe what they done wrong.
