You will need to frequently wash the tattoo with a good soft soap like dial, and make sure it is anti-bacterial. The more frequently you wash it, the faster it will heal. Do not pick at it, and apply a non-scented moisturizing cream to it several times a day.

No hot tubs, swimming pools, or soaking in bath tubs until it's healed. Don't pick at the scab. Don't soak it in water until healed. Avoid putting lotions and creams on it while healing. And for the rest of your life avoid the sun and sunscreen.
