lost of buds and leaves occur, if proper care is not taken. plant positioning at sun light, balanced watering, fertilizing, pruning are the critiria for the care of gardenia.

Water when the dirt gets pretty dry on the surface and not really anymore. use a soil that has fertilizer in it.

IT thrive outdoors to 6 feet tall. Indoors it want full sun, outdoors it's happier shade. During the day,temperatures from 68 to 74 degrees , 60 degrees at night. Moderate humidity assure a healthy plant as soil that is too dry,water, if the top inch of soil is dry.

Gardenias need fairly moist soil or high humidity, and indirect sunlight. They like moderate temperatures, not above 75, and not below 55. They should be fertilized every other week.
