If you sell them online, it will be tough going. What number is it? A no. 4 apparently can go for a minimum of 250$ depending on condition. I personally would suggest you keep it for a few more years as the value will probably increase.

Wasn't a certain type of. 303 banned by the Geneva Convention or some international treaty like that?

Yes, you're right. But it wasn't the gun- it was just one type of the. 303 bullet that expanded on impact that was banned - caused too violent a death due to the expansion on impact. And it was the Hague Convention.  add a comment

In the current market a WWII British. 303 is worth between $300 to $600. It could go for more at the right auction.

The value is directly linked with style and condition. The value for a run of the mill. 303 may bring upwards of $125. The Number 4 sniper versions in good to mint condition may range $450 to $600. As always, if any repairs have been made by a non-professional, this may adversely affect the value.

The British. 303 cartridge is worth from $6. 00 to $39. 95. It was a sniper rifle used in world war 2.

The value depends on the type and condition. Cut-down SMLE's or guns at 60% condition will be worth around $100. Rare or near-mint guns can be worth up to $400 or more.

I have inherited some cartridges that my late Grandad brought home from the Second world war. How can i find out whether they are used or not, are they collectible, are they dangerous, can i sell them and if so where and what they would be worth?
