This depends soely on the year of the car and how many miles are on the engine. You can go by the bluebook value and add some for the engine.

You don't give the specific year or model so it is very difficult to say. A 1990 240D Sedan with automatic transmission in excellent condition (no mechanical problems) is worth approximately $2900. Using that as a base, you should be able to estimate your car's worth.

To get an accurate quote on the value of your Volvo, take a few minutes and stop by the edmunds or kelley blue book websites. Answer all of the questions based on year, make, model, milage, etc... and it will give you a private party value, retail, and trade-in value for your area.
