Facet Arthropathy means that the facet joints found on the posterior side of the vertebrae are suffering from arthritis. The Multilevel term refers to the fact that multiple facet joints are affected by this condition and that it involves different vertebrae. Multilevel facet arthropathy usually occurs in later life, when the effects of wear and tear are starting to show.
