Ladino is actually a language, it is known as Judaeo-Spanish. It is a Sephardic language. This language is mostly spoken among the Sephardic Jews. The Spanish people used to speak these type of language. They are the historic language, as it spoken by the Jews of Spanish, in the Ancient period of time.

Ladino is a language used to Sephardic Jews - these are jews that come from spanish speaking countries. The language is very similar to spanish but with few pronouniation differences. If you were to speak Spanish you would be able to speak ladino to Sephardic Jews. You will also notice Sephardic Jews tend to have Spanish names as well.

Sephardic Jews also includes those Jews who follow the Sephardic style of Judaism, which includes Arabic and Persian Jews -- not just Jews from Spanish speaking countries or those with a connection to the Iberian Peninsula.  add a comment
