James Jett from Charles Town, West Virginia, was one of only thirty football players to reportedly run the forty-yard dash in less than 4.3 seconds. The aptly named Jett (who played for the LA/Oakland Raiders) recorded an unofficial time of 4.27 seconds. A talented wide receiver, he played nine seasons in the NFL, and finished with 4,417 rushing yards.

James Jett's forty yard time is 4.27 seconds. Jett was an olympic sprinter who won the gold in 4x100 meter relay at the 1992 olympics, which took place in Barcelona, Spain. From 1993 to 2002, Jett was a wide receiver for the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders. While with the Raiders, Jett completed 30 touchdowns and completed 256 receptions.
