It depends on the jurisdiction. Some aren't so bad, but most are cramped, dirty, stale, claustrophobic, and violent. They're not a good place, avoid them.
A jail is like living away from the family in the company of inmates of the prison. All the enjoyments like games are available to an ordinary prisoner with simple imprisonment or who is under trial. But the person who has been punished with Rigorous Imprisonment is denied certain facilites like Television etc.
