Dig under a clump of irises, remove part of the clump with soil on it, shake the soil loose, and then seperate each stalk. Once all of that is accomplished, simply dig 3 to 4 inch holes in another area place an iris in each, cover, and pat gently.
No such word as "seperate" (sic); good to know if you write about gardening as separating is a frequent activity. add a comment
