I am unsure of the year of the film, but just from the title I can positively tell you it is about the Memphis Sanitation Workers Strike of 1968. After the death of two sanitation workers due to a malfunction of the trucks hydraulic ram, workers decided to strike, and call in Martin Luther King, Jr. for reinforcement.
