Your best bet is a versatile pencil skirt in a neutral color such as black. Match that with a buttoned down collared top, or a nice sweater top. Anything nice and classy works well for the office, just be sure not to be too revealing and everything will be fine.

Suits (trouser, dress or skirt) are very typical and fashionable. High street shops will have modern styles. Black is the most normal colour, also grey and pale brown.
