His name has never been revealed on the show. Although many people think "Doctor Who" is his name, he actually just goes by "the Doctor. "

No one knows Dr. Who's real name. All time lords use false names. Time lords will only reveal their real name to their spouse.

The Doctor has no name, saying of himself "it's The Doctor. " Once he is given the alias "Qui Quae Quod" (masculine/feminine/neutral form of Latin 'who'), and is once referred to as "Thete" (a reference to Theta Sigma, an old nickname). Even 'Doctor Who' is not typically used as his name, but rather just to reference him ("The Doctor? Doctor Who? ").

There is no name behind Dr. Who. By confidential, they won't tell the viewers about the real doctor's name because for sure it will destruct the idea of having a nameless doctor and if they just tell the viewers about its real name, the series will just be boring.

The Doctor always goes by the Doctor. His real name is not known to us, they have not revealed it. He chose his name Doctor on Gallifrey at the same time the Master chose to be Master. It is one of the mysteries of the franchise "What is the Doctor's name?" A mysterious woman knows, but isn't telling us.

The main character in Dr. Who is referred to simply as The Doctor. His actual name has remained a mystery, although sometimes he'll be addressed with a nickname of sorts.
