The word Dysplasia is used to describe an abnormal formation in the body. Dysplasia during menstrual cycles could relate to cysts. During pregnancy it may indicate an ectopic pregnancy. Dysplasia found in the womb could indicate abnormal growth of such things as the eyes, limbs, and facial structure. If you are diagnosed with Dysplasia, ask where it has been found.

Dysplasia means "malformed" - what part of your body was he referring to? Fibrous dysplasia means your bones aren't growing properly. Cervical dysplasia means you have some abnormal cells showing on your pap smear. Hip dysplasia means your hip joint is out of whack. Ectodermal dysplasia means your hair, nails, sweat glands, or even teeth are malformed.

Cervical displasia is when there are abnormal cells in the cervix, detected through pap smear. These cells are not cancerous, but may well become cancerous if not treated. You should definitely go back to your doctor and ask for further information

Dysplasia is a medical term referring to abnormal-looking cells. This is usually used by pathologists to indicate the possible presence of early stages of cancer. The cells may be larger than usual or have large nuclei, or stain differently than normal healthy cells.
