This depends on the type of squealing. The most common cause of engine squeal is a loose fan belt. This can happen over time as the fan belt stretches or as a tensioner looses is tension.

your can could be sqealing because the bearing are going in one of your axles or your brakes have been rubbing for a long time and your pads are almost gone so your rotors are rubbing against each other and it is making a metal on metal noise of rubbing together

Well if your car squeals it is probably either that you have a loose belt or a spun bearing. Take it to a professional mechanic so that that can determine the problem and fix it.

If your car is doing this after going slow or stopping then accelerating and it starts squealing this is generally caused by the belt moving faster than the pulleys. This could be a sign its time to change the belt.
