Carkoon, or the Great Pit of Carkoon, is an imaginary place in the Star Wars universe. It is located in the Dune Sea on the planet Tattooine. Carkoon is the habitat of the sarlaac, and is also close to Jabba's Palace.
Carkoon is a Star Wars reference. In the film Return of the Jedi, the Sarlaac monster lives in the so-called Great Pit of Carkoon, and swallows up people who fall into it.
