Body butter is basically a moisturizer for the skin. It's used basically as a lotion. It's heavier than a lotion, though. It was not made to eat.

Body butter is a moisturizer designed to be applied to the body, Some body butter's are edible, it just depends on which one you buy, it SHOULD have it on the pot when you look before purchase.
