Depending on the type of animal, you may wish to bury the pet in your yard or in a pet cemetery. You may also choose to cremate your pet's remains.

The best way would be to just dig a whole in the yard and make sure it is big enough for the body and deep enough so that it doesn't end up being uncovered by the elements. Then putting the dirt back over the body so that it will remain covered. I am sorry for your loss.

Dig the hole somewhere that you're not ever going to dig near in the future. Mark the hole. Dig it at least 6 feet deep to avoid decay stenches.

The best way to put a furry friend to rest is cremation. There are sanitation and space issues to consider when burying any dead. An urn you can keep and remember is just as nice as a final resting place.
