What is being done to lessen the threat to endangered tigers?

I just wondered if the efforts are working.

Many people and small agencies are taking the job of protecting endangered tigers into their own hands. Tigers need vast amounts of space to thrive. Efforts are being made to ensure that the tigers have this by petitioning for government protected lands and by buying the land themselves.

One of the biggest threats to tigers is that they don't have much habitat left! They require large areas of land to survive and not cause problems for humans. People are working to buy larger tracts of land to help them. Breeding in zoos has been somewhat successful.
