The Siberian tiger is a very endangered species, with less than 500 wild tigers roaming in their natural habitat. In the 1940s there were less than 50 but their numbers had really started to come up until the 1990s, when poaching started again. Most US zoos tend to host Bengal or white tigers.

The Siberian tiger is an endangered species. In the wild it can be found in far eastern Siberia. There are only several hundred Siberian tigers left in the wild. There are tigers in zoos in the United States, and in other countries around the world.
