Behavioral segmentation refers to a strategy that marketers use to describe populations so they can influence people more effectively. Marketers divide customers based on behaviour: frequent customers in one category, bargain shoppers in another, and so on, so they can send them personalized spam email or personalized coupons, for example.

It is a way for marketers to research the behavior of consumers and split them up based on common factors. Wouldn't worry, it is intended to help make improvements.
