Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic medicine. It is approved for the treatment of acute infective exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bacterial conjunctivitis (pink-eye), community acquired pneumonia, and infection of skin tissue. In addition, it can be used to treat for tuberculosis in combination of other medications. Unlike other fluoroquinolone, it is ineffective in treating urinary tract infection.
