An apico surgery is done when a rootcanal tooth is failing. A incision is done at the gum where the root would be. Then the root that is failing wil be ampitated.

The procedure is done in the office and performed by an oral surgeon. You are kept comfortable during the procedure.

when you have infected tooth root and the tooth has been treated with previous root canal therapy that was not sucessful, the tip of the root can be removed and root tip sealed
