In cricket an all-rounder is a type of player that usually performs 2 roles, both batting and bowling. There isn't a real, defined all rounder player qualification in game, being an all-rounder is just an empirical definition of a player that is really good equally in both roles, batting average and bowling average value.

An all-rounder is someone who is really good both as a batsman and as a bowler. Most players usually specialize in only one of the two fields.

An all-rounder usually excedes at both battling and bowling. With battling it is the art of hitting the cricket ball with the bat to score runs. A bowler thows the ball to the wicket who is often defended by the batsman. If a player only performs in either bowling or battling then they are just specialists.
