The wedge haircut is kind of like a 'bowl' haircut. It's short but not real short. Dorothy Hamil, the skater, helped to make this a very popular style. The hair is blunt cut and shows the actual thickness of the hair. The bangs are cut so the style works together. The wedge is very easy to care for.

A wedge haircut is one that has an edge, much like bangs, on other sides of the head. It's geometric and tends to be a 'cute' haircut of the kind mothers often give young children. The bowl cut is a close comparison to a wedge.

A wedge haircut is one that's longer in the front and then gets shorter in the back. You can decided how severe you want the wedge to be and how long you want it in the front. It's a cut that works well with bangs or with out and that can be easy to maintain.
