A saltine cracker is a thin usually white cracker made from flour, shortening, yeast, and baking soda. The doctor most likely told you to give him saltines, because he was having trouble with nausea feelings, or vomit, and eating saltines, even with some peanut butter, can help with this sickening feeling.
