This is the descriptive name for a stained glass window in the shape of a flower -- it is typically round ant found at either end of a cathedral. The Gothic style Rose Window evolved from a round opening known as an oculus. A traditional Rose Window usually incorporates stained glass and can be found in European churches. They are circular and divided into spoked sections. To make one as a craft activity, use black card to make a round, spoked frame and paste coloured cellophane in each section.

A window made of red see through glass is often referred to as a rose window. They are made by framing pieces of the red glass. The red glass is rare.
