My mom keeps telling me I should eat a rootabega.
Answer by kayteeq (39)
A rootabega, or rutabega, is the same as a turnip. It's in the root vegetable section of the produce department in a grocery store. It's a bit bigger than a softball and has a waxy outside.

A Rootabega is very similar to a Turnip with a leafy top. It can be steamed or stewed and has a high mustard oil content.
