The roof "rake" is just the steepled point of the roof "the top of the triangle". Capping is just putting a cover on this point.

The roof rake is the edge of the roof or the steeped point of a roof. Capping is to place a cap on it as to help the water run off or to prevent it.

The roof rake is nothing but the tip of the roof or it is the sharp or top end of the triangle shapped roof. To prevent the water coming into the home we cover this roof rake with cap shapped material . This process is called roof rake capping.
