What is a Roman Catholic confession like?

Answer by  Clement (1453)

The confession consists in acknowledging the sins you have committed. It starts with a standard formula "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. " upon which the confessor blesses you.

Although there is a certain ritual to follow each priest does it a little differently. It's usually fairly simple and harmless. A priest is sworn to secrecy and can tell no one your sins. I haven't found much comfort from confession and feel better talking to a good friend about things I think that I did wrong.
