You are correct. The term is actually "heeler"...it is a herding dog, used to herd cattle and other livestock. They need activities, tasks, and lots of running room, to keep them physically and mentally stimulated as they are independent and can be destructive if this is not provided. They are believed to be a Collie/dingo cross.

The red healer is a Austrlian Cattle dog. They are used to herd cattle. A very energetic dog with a good work ethic.
