It depends on how well you know the couple. There is of course the obligatory congratulations and well wishes to the bride and groom which begins most messages; followed by some simple advice on a successful marriage.

The best messages are personal to yourself and the new couple - referencing things you know about their hopes and dreams for their new life together. Wishes such as "Congratulations, you're perfect for each-other. Good luck with your new life" are nice. Wishes for children if they want them, or a nice honeymoon if they're having one also work well.
