A jackelope is a mythical creature of an antelope mixed with a jack rabbit which lives in the desert. It has a jack rabbit body with the markings of an antelope and horns of one as well. They are the size of a jack rabbit and probably would live like one as well.

Well, then, you have good instincts because the jackelope is not real. It is a fictional rabbit with antlers, as you probably know (its name is a portmanteau of jack rabbit and antelope). It's kind of a myth/joke especially among hunters, and stuffed jack rabbits with small antlers glued onto their heads are not at all uncommon (but they're fake).

A jackelope is an imaginary animal of North America folklore that is often described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns and sometimes a pheasant's tail and often times hind legs.

There is no such thing as a real jackelope. You may have seen a stuffed and mounted jackelope head; this is a joke. Real antlers are mounted onto the head of a jack rabbit to make a pretend jackelope. This has fooled a lot of people!
